Hydrocarbons
Hydrocarbons are the simplest of all organic compounds, containing only carbon and hydrogen.
Organic compounds are defined as carbon-containing compounds except: Oxides of carbon, carbonates, cyanides.
Hydrocarbons are classified into 2 groups:
Saturated hydrocarbon and unsaturated hydrocarbon.
